Danielle Ayan has been involved in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) profession for over 17-years. She considers SpatialPlexus.com to be one of her greatest contributions to the field, in addition to the following activities:

** Advancing the mission of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) through a contract with Booz | Allen | Hamilton (2013 - present)** Initiating and developing the GIS@GTRI Program for the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) (2010 - 2013)** Co-managing the Georgia GIS Clearinghouse (2002 - 2009)** Authoring a State Bill and Chairing the resulting statewide Georgia Geospatial Advisory Council (O.C.G.A § 12-5-9 (b)(3) – accomplishing the 2-year mandate in 6-months with 88% county participation (2010 - 2011)** Organizing multiple international and statewide GIS-related conferences; offering over 70 professional presentations, including legislative and Keynote addresses** Holding leadership positions with the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC), the legislatively enacted Georgia Geospatial Advisory Council (GGAC), the Georgia GIS Coordinating Committee (GISCC), the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL), the National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence (GeoTech), URISA International and the Georgia Urban Regional Information Systems Association (URISA)
